  1. …I’m not quite sure why people like this so much. I couldn’t get more than half way through, and I was really trying to make it. The premise is sort of interesting, and there’s a bit of a mystery, and I was interested to find out what happens, but boy, the journey is just dull and pretentious. It’s all brooding and full of poetry and angst and is probably enjoyed by people who have an interest in poetry and angst and endless philosophizing. That’s not me. I found it rather annoying. It also reads like the author is trying a bit too hard to be literary and high quality and has lost the ability to be entertaining in the process. Recommended for neither award. At all.
